The Treptow Köpenick district in south Berlin, surrounded by forests and lakes, is home to the historic town of Schmöckwitz. The earliest records of the town date back to the 14th century when a settlement of 15 houses was documented. Easily accessed from the city centre by transit as well as car, Schmöckwitz is now a haven for water-sports enthusiasts and anyone seeking a little peace and quiet without leaving Berlin. Excellent infrastructure in the area also makes it a popular residential district.
This eight-room villa sits on a 2,650-square metre plot of land directly on Lake Zeuthen. The rooms occupy approximately 270 square metres, providing spacious, open-concept, bright living areas. Designed and supervised by an architect, the final construction utilised the best materials possible. The most notable aspect of the home, however, is the irregular shape and complex connections that make the villa unique. Extensive use of windows allows for maximum light, in every corner of the house and for breathtaking views across the lake. Owners can also enjoy bathing or showering on the one balcony of two that features al fresco facilities. The villa also features a modern kitchen, double garage, and ultra-comfortable under-floor heating.
